Mother News Editorial - July2015

Dear Friends
“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the oceans are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty" –said Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our nation. Human happiness increases Creativity, cognitive abilities, and resilience. Happy people are really successful in their life. Organizations that have got happy employees are also more successful and consistently demonstrate greater growth and profitability. Therefore, cultivating greater happiness in oneself, one's family, community and society at large will lead to a better prospective and peaceful living. It will also lead to oneness.
Compassion and caring for others’ welfare gives serenity of mind and heart. Human beings are naturally concerned for the immediate neighbours than the person who lives in a faraway place. Naturally, we feel more emotion for the death of a next door neighbour than for 100 persons in a faraway place. Hence oneness in society gives more strength to the human life. Society is not merely a select body of spiritual or intellectual persons, but a greater organism composed of all kinds of members, a web consisting both good and bad. According to Kofi Annan, “The happiness of any society begins with the well being of the families that live in it.” Society is in man and man is in the society. Inseparably, they are bound together. Hence, we should understand the humanity in its right perspective. A good person can make another person good, therefore, goodness will elicit goodness in the society. Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized onspiracy to oppress, rob, and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe, when human empathy lapses, there exist no growth and oneness in the society.
Society refers to the complex pattern of the norms of interaction or relationship that arise among the people. People exist only as an agent of social relationship. Mere congregation of individuals does not constitute society. Rather society refers to the complicated network of social relationship by which every individual is interrelated with his fellowmen. As such, society is abstract, not concentrate in nature. We cannot touch it but fill it because it resides in the minds of individual. A system of social relationship is the most important aspect of society and humanity. A social relationship, implies eciprocal awareness among individuals.
Recognising and understanding our social nature is not something that is merely of scientific interest, or of a matter of philosophy, religion, or academic theory but, rather something that is essential to our existence. As human beings we depend on one another for our very survival and are becoming even more interdependent and interconnected.
All people are like grass and all their glory is like the flowers of the field, the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the world endures forever. Therefore let us get rid of all malice, and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander of every kind, and lead a peaceful life..

Regards
